Turkey, Pakistan, India to Join Russia and China at Pivotal SCO Summit

Date:

The upcoming SCO Summit in Tianjin will feature a remarkable convergence of regional powers, with leaders from Turkey, Pakistan, and India joining their Russian and Chinese counterparts. This diverse gathering underscores the SCO’s expanding influence and its pivotal role in Eurasian geopolitics.
The presence of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a NATO member leader, is particularly noteworthy, highlighting the SCO’s function as a platform for dialogue that transcends traditional alliance structures. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be key participants, representing the major powers of South Asia.
This assembly will take place as Russian President Vladimir Putin advocates for a “fairer, multipolar world order” and a new security framework for Eurasia. His challenge to Western “discriminatory sanctions” will be a central topic of discussion among this broad group of leaders.
The interactions and bilateral meetings at this pivotal summit—especially among the leaders of Russia, China, and India—will be critical in shaping the future of regional cooperation and the evolving balance of power across the Eurasian continent.
