Oscars 2026: Pullman and Brooks Present Nominations with Anderson and Coogler Dominating

Lewis Pullman and Danielle Brooks announced the nominations for the 98th Academy Awards this evening, revealing a competitive landscape. Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” and Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners” secured the most nominations, establishing them as frontrunners.
The breadth of recognition for both films underscores their exceptional quality. “One Battle After Another” earned nominations across directing, adapted screenplay, and multiple performances, while technical achievements also secured acknowledgment. The comprehensive support reflects its overall excellence.
“Sinners” matched this achievement with nominations highlighting its visual innovation and storytelling power. Coogler’s direction earned recognition alongside cinematography, production design, and acting nominations. Academy voters clearly appreciated the film’s ambitious creative vision.
Other films finding success include Timothée Chalamet’s “Marty Supreme,” which earned nominations for Best Picture, Best Actor, and directing. “Hamnet,” “Sentimental Value,” and “Frankenstein” also secured recognition across various categories. Unfortunately, Neeraj Ghaywan’s “Homebound” received zero nominations.
Cinema’s biggest celebration arrives on March 15 when the 98th Academy Awards take place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The ceremony will air at 7 p.m. ET on ABC, where the year’s finest films will compete for Oscar gold.
